SIM OLYMPIAD

JUNE 6-7, 2026

Join us for the return of the CAEP SIM Olympiad!

 

6 Teams will compete against each other through a series of high fidelity simulation bases cases to see which one has the strongest crisis resource management skills and emergency resuscitation knowledge.

Learning Objectives:

​

After participating in this session participants will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills

  2. Demonstrate the principles of effective resuscitation techniques

  3. Demonstrate efficient and effective team based problem solving skills

  4. Demonstrate effective resource utilization

  5. Demonstrate situational awareness during a critical resuscitation

Qualifying Rounds:

Saturday, June 6 - 09:45-12:00

​

Final Rounds:

​Sunday, June 7 - 15:15-16:45

​​

Teams will comprise 4 people which should be some combination of the following:

  • Senior (PGY3-4) resident (max two)

  • Junior (PGY-1-2) resident (min 1)

  • Med student/RN/RT/paramedics (min 1)

​

​Fee: $20 + conference registration

Once you have completed your online registration, please email Cheryl ffrench (emerg13@gmail.com) to secure your spot.  You will need to provide the following information:

  • Team name/Institution name

  • Team members’ full names

  • Team member’s designation (MD/RN/RT etc.)

  • Team members’ emails
