The Educational Marketplace is always a memorable part of the conference.  This learning and networking event allows you to engage and interact one-on-one with EM experts from around the world on a wide-range of topics they’re passionate about.  Resuscitation.  Trauma.  Critical care across the life spectrum from neonate to oldest adults.  Leadership.  Advocacy.  Practice your ultrasound and airway and ECG skills under the direct guidance of an expert.

Learning Objectives:

  • Revise foundation knowledge and skills in emergency medicine

  • Acquire tips and tricks to practice contemporary emergency medicine

  • Improve procedural skills to practice contemporary emergency medicine

Ideal booths feature:

  1. Clear focused, clinically relevant topic with practical learning points. Perhaps controversial topics

  2. Two teachers per booth. Teachers should be highly knowledgeable in their field and comfortable with unstructured variable teaching.

  3. An eye-catching presentation: think of ways to make your booth attractive and fun. Decorate!

  4. Best topics are things with clear clinical relevance – what practitioners can use on their next shift. Not “How to improve your trauma system”; but “Five top hacks in trauma care.”

  5. No PowerPoint presentations or lectures

  6. Best booths have a high degree of interaction of the participants with the teachers and the participants with each other; and a high degree of gamification . (Think “Jeopardy”; “Pick from a tasting menu”; “Spin the bottle”; “Pick a topic from deck, from a roulette wheel” Use your imagination!)

  7. Handouts, resources, takeaways, QR-based links are appreciated by participants.
